To Our Loyal Clientele,

The Canadian Birkebeiner is right around the corner and we have a few special events going on as the big day draws closer. 

First off, our Birkie Wax Specials are back on, so drop off your skis ASAP.  We need 48 hours to turn around your skis to you and we will do them right up until Friday, February 10th at 6 PM.  For $35, we are running our regular LF wax special, including cleaning, sanding and applying a base binder, with a Low-Fluoro temperature specific wax to glide you through to the finish.  For $60, we are also offering our Birkie Hotbox special, which will include all of the above, plus saturating your ski with a hydrocarbon glide wax and following that with a Low-Fluoro temperature specific cap to get you the best glide on the trails.

On Wednesday, February 8th at 6 PM, Michael Kennedy, local Swix wax tech and Fischer ambassador, will be running a Birkie-specific wax clinic in our lecture hall (basement!) to get you on the trails and ready for the loppet of the year.  Bring your pen, paper and inquiring minds, as Michael will be ready and willing to take on all questions about waxing.  Space is limited, so sign up today!  Call us at 780-432-1707 to book your spot.

Remember, the cut off date for registration is February 8th, so get your registration in.  Trails are packed, the snow is here and it should be a fast and fun year!

As you get ready for the Birkie, we have purchased a Fischer Carbonlite Demo Fleet this year in conjunction with Trail Sports in Canmore, and it will be on site at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre this Saturday, February 4th, and also on the dates of February 18th and 25th.  We have a full fleet of skis, boots, bindings and Swix Star and Triac poles for folks to test.   See what separates the best from the rest!  The aforementioned Michael Kennedy will be on hand this Saturday to help you choose the best skis for you.

If you like what you test, we'll write down your sizing, so you can come in to Track 'N Trail and get a smoking deal on all race gear at 25% off before the Birkie!

Please remember that if you want to wear your own boots, they must be NNN compatible, as Salomon boots won't work with the Fischer bindings.

We know that there hasn't been a lot of snow in the city this year, but it's worth venturing outside of the city to find some great trails, including Devon, Jasper, Hinton, and the Strathcona Wilderness Centre.
